Scout & Snouts is a small, heart-led pet accessories brand created by a Girl Scout, her grandmom, and her mom. We make handmade dog bandanas and accessories with care, creativity, and a whole lot of love for pups and community.

What started as a creative project has grown into a meaningful fundraiser supporting Girl Scout activities, badges, and community projects. Every item is made together and sold with intention, supporting learning, entrepreneurship, and hands-on experiences.

Fall Adventures with Scout & Snouts πŸ‚πŸΎ

Fall has been busy around here at Scout & Snouts, in the best way! Between picking out new seasonal fabrics, sewing lots of bandanas, packing up the market bins, and spending our weekends meeting dogs and their people, we’ve officially settled into fall market season.

We kicked things off at the Practical Magic Market, where “fall market season” apparently forgot the fall part. πŸ˜‚ It was an absolute scorcher! Even with the heat, we were excited to get Scout & Snouts back out into the community and start showing off some of the new prints we had been working on.

Then came MuttFest, which gave us the complete opposite weather experience: rain! Thankfully, a little rainy weather didn’t stop the fun. MuttFest ended up being a great market, and we loved spending the afternoon surrounded by fellow dog lovers, adorable pups, and people discovering Scout & Snouts for the first time.

Our next stop was the Handmade Harvest Market, and this one was especially fun because there were so many other young entrepreneurs there. As a kid-run business, it was really cool to see other kid-preneurs sharing the things they had created and building their own businesses, too.

Of course, one of our favorite parts of a new season is choosing fabrics. Our fall collection has been full of pumpkins, florals, ghosts, Halloween prints, and all the cozy autumn colors we can squeeze onto a dog bandana. Picking fabrics is always part planning and part, “This is way too cute to leave at the fabric store.” πŸπŸŽƒ

Something else exciting has been happening behind the scenes: more people are finding us online! Our website and social media are helping Scout & Snouts reach beyond the people we meet at markets. Local pet businesses have started discovering us online and reaching out about pop-ups, events, and possible partnerships. It has been really exciting to see our little business getting noticed in new ways.

And we’re not finished with fall yet!

Next up, Scout & Snouts will be heading to Howl-O-Weenie, the Hocus Pocus Market, and the Spooky Pooch 5K. We’re especially excited for all the Halloween fun, costumes, dogs, and, of course, more opportunities to get our fall and spooky bandanas onto some very cute pups.

Every market teaches us something new, and every season Scout & Snouts grows a little more. We’re still sewing, learning, experimenting, meeting new people, and figuring out what we want this little business to become.

For now, we’re just enjoying the ride, and hoping our next market has weather somewhere between scorching hot and pouring rain. πŸ˜‚πŸΆπŸ‚
