Scout & Snouts officially made our debut as vendors at Our Giving Garden Fall Festival, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! The crisp fall air, the laughter of families… it all came together to make our first vending event absolutely magical.
A Dream Turned Reality
When my mom, Ava, and I started Scout & Snouts, we dreamed of creating something special, handmade, eco-friendly pet accessories that bring joy to dogs and their humans while supporting Ava’s Girl Scout journey. Seeing our table set up at the festival, surrounded by colorful bandanas, paw-cleaning sprays, and happy customers, was such a proud moment for us.
Ava was a natural little entrepreneur, greeting visitors, explaining our products, and helping pup parents pick out their perfect bandana. (She might have a future in marketing like her mama! 😉)
Crowd Favorites
Our biodegradable pet waste bags were definitely the stars of the day, no surprise since the festival took place at a community garden! Attendees loved that they’re eco-friendly, easy to use, and kind to the planet. It sparked so many great conversations about small ways we can all live more sustainably, even when it comes to cleaning up after our pups.
Another top favorite was our Room Freshener Spray, which guests described as “fresh,” “clean,” and “perfect for homes with pets.” Many visitors shared that they loved finding a product that smelled amazing and was made with safe, natural ingredients. Seeing people light up when they realized our products were handmade and eco-conscious truly made our day!
A Community to Love
One of the most beautiful parts of the Our Giving Garden Festival was the sense of togetherness. Between the trick or treaters, delicious chilli from the chilli contest, and other local makers, it felt like being part of something bigger, a community that celebrates creativity, sustainability, and giving back.
We met so many wonderful people who not only supported Scout & Snouts but also shared stories about their own pets and local rescue work. It reminded us why we started this in the first place: to spread kindness, connection, and tail wags wherever we go.
What’s Next for Scout & Snouts
After such an amazing first experience, we’re already planning our next vending adventures! We’re working on holiday-themed bandanas, room fresheners, and gift bundles that will be perfect for festive markets and winter walks. Stay tuned, we’ll share where you can find us next!
